The 100% Complete Project Guarantee

We finish your project, whatever it takes.

Around 5–10% of sequencing projects run into a complication. Most providers bill the researcher to fix it. We fix it at our own cost.

The guarantee in numbers

  • 5.6%of samples re-sequenced, all at our cost
  • €0extra for any complication in the agreed project
  • 3–4×what the hardest projects cost us. We finish them anyway.
  • 8minto unblock a sample-quality question mid-project
Why we can promise it

Complications are rare because we prevent most of them.

  • We check the design before you spend

A scientist reviews every design first, and sometimes recommends a cheaper method.

  • We QC before we spend your money

Risky samples are flagged before library prep, while a fix is still cheap.

  • We absorb the expensive exceptions

Once in a while a project costs us three or four times the plan. We finish it anyway.

The guarantee in practice

What “whatever it takes” looks like.

  • Genome project · Poland

    Extraction below spec, project upgraded

The first isolation didn’t yield enough high-molecular-weight DNA. We re-isolated for free and moved the project to PacBio HiFi, absorbing the difference.

    Extra cost to the lab€0
  • Low-DNA samples · Brazil

Too dilute to measure, sequenced anyway

The DNA sat below what a fluorometer can read. We ran our low-input recovery workflow and sequenced the samples at no charge.

    Extra cost to the lab€0
  • Microbiome study · Bologna

Extra extractions, kept off the bill

Several samples needed another extraction before library prep. We ran them and left them off the invoice.

    Extra cost to the lab€0
  • AI company · Israel

    QC before any commitment

They wanted to know whether their samples would work before choosing a sequencing plan. We ran the QC for free.

    Cost of the QC€0
  • Procurement · Denmark

The buyer who chose the higher price

After negotiating a cheaper quote, they noticed the word “guarantee” had dropped out of it, and went back to the original price to keep it.

  • Design review

We talked them out of whole-genome sequencing

A cheaper method answered the lab’s question, so that is what we recommended. They came back later with a bigger project.

Why it matters more than price

A failed run costs more than any quote.

Grants have deadlines and some samples can never be collected again. When a run fails, you lose weeks and sometimes material you can’t replace. The invoice is the smallest part of it.

Questions

About the guarantee

Do I need to ask for the guarantee?

No. It is part of every project and written into your quote.

What if the problem is caused by my samples?

Still covered. Troubleshooting, re-extraction and re-shipping of problem samples are exactly what the guarantee is for.

Does bioinformatics-only work have the guarantee?

Yes. For analysis projects it covers the analysis and the re-analysis your reviewers ask for.

What to put in your first email

  1. What your samples are, and how many you have
  2. The question you want the data to answer
  3. Your deadline: a paper, a grant or a reviewer
  4. Anything unusual: low input, FFPE, low biomass
